I had so much fun pulling inspiration for this part of the wedding process. I love flowers and the idea of piecing together a tablescape, so this was naturally one of my favorite things to do. Since this is where your guests spend the majority of their time, you want this space to feel inviting, be comfortable and look beautiful. Whether you choose a theme that is simple or extravagant, the table setting will set the mood for the night. Table settings are the best way to tie in a cohesive theme.
WHAT YOU NEED
You want your guests to feel special like they are apart of your day rather than just sitting on the sidelines. Place cards keep the party organized, assigning seats all the while creating a more personal feel to each table.
Plates, Cutlery, & Cloths
Diningware and cutlery will take up the most space on the table. Keeping it simple does the trick. Decide on the color and keep the menu in mind. Remember, these are also accent pieces on the tables.
There are several different ways to spice up the table. You may decide to opt out of the traditional focal point centerpiece of the table by adding table runners, greenery, and garlands. But if centerpieces are for you, vases of flowers, lighting accents, and personable pieces could really catch the eye.
Candles & Lanterns
Candles and lanterns can add warmth and magic to the table. They also add additional lighting which is great for when the sun sets! We also chose to hang some fairy lights above the table to make sure there was enough lighting for the video and camera crew + they look super cute and dreamy.
Table Runners & Garlands
Table runners and garlands can serve as accent pieces and even take the place of a centerpiece for the table. Since we were a small wedding party, I chose to have one long table with a running garland. It turned out incredibly beautiful! The hardest part is the tear down when the wedding is over. These photos are the best to cherish the beautiful moments.
